ONE Direction stars Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson got lost during a hunt for Rihanna in Sydney.

The lads are in Australia as part of their huge promotional push around the globe.

And after hearing the Bajan beauty was in town for the premiere of her new film Battleship they attempted to gatecrash.

But their plan failed when they had no idea where they were.

The lads, in the city for the first time, also angered their management by venturing out without a security escort.

Zayn revealed: “We did sneak away from our hotel at about 8pm — it wasn’t like it was 3 o’clock in the morning.

“But it was a bit like a smash and grab — we thought let’s go for it!

“Sadly we didn’t really know where we were going and we just kind of wandered around for a bit and got lost.

“We knew the premiere was on but weren’t sure we’d get in, or where it was and if we’d be able to meet her.

“She’s incredibly hot!”
